Are you good at finding clues? How sneaky can you be? To be a good birder, you need to be a good detective! We will go over the basics of birding for those brand new to bird watching and as a refresher to beginner birders. With just a couple tips and tricks, you might just start noticing the sometimes secret, and often unnoticed world of birds! In the second part of this class, we head out of the city to grow our birding skills. Not only will we hike and look for more bird species to add to our checklist, we will dive deeper into bird behavior and anatomy. The more we understand about birds, the better birders we become! It is not necessary to have attended Part I to participate in Part II of the class, however some birding experience is recommended.

Want to spend more time in nature, but have some fears or discomfort? Early spring is the perfect time to confront your worries and build your outdoors skillset! Join us as we tackle topics like poison ivy, venomous snakes, pesky bugs, and large predators! When we have a better understanding of the risks in nature, we feel better-prepared spending time in it! We will also go over some good ways to get start being outside more. This class is designed for families. There will be activities for kids and time for parents to ask questions.
